Kasargode is the northernmost district of Kerala. It is famous for some exquisite folk arts and rituals of Kerala. Kasargode presents itself in front of its visitors, the serene beaches of the Arabian Sea, Kerala backwaters, mighty forts, and Western Ghats’ secret spots. The top destinations in Kasargod are Bekal Fort, Ranipuram Hills, Chandragiri Fort, Valiyaparamba Backwaters, Nileswaram, Possadi Gumpe, Kanhangad, Malik Ibn Dinar Mosque, and Ananthapura Lake Temple.

padanna backwaters, which are located in the area of Cheruvathur, in Kasaragod district, is one of the most scenic places in Kerala  as coconut trees and palm trees cover this place beautifully. Mr. Gul Mohammed started off the Oyster Opera at Padanna. This is the hub of oyster farming and what started off on a very small scale, provides income to thousands of people today. This is one of the few places in the state where modernisation has not set in. The old rustic charm of the rural areas of Padanna is still evident in the backwaters today. Many tourists come here to see the oyster farms.  A trip on the houseboat and sunbathing at the Valiyaparamaba beach are some of the activities that can be enjoyed here.

Chembirika Beach

Parappa Wildlife Sanctuary

Parappa Wildlife sanctuary is home to many incredible species of wildlife. It is one of the well known Wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala with a great natural diversity. It is located in Kanhangad range of Chervathur city. The Kanhangad range is the home of many wild species including jungle cats, turtles, peacock, horn bill and many others.  The forest area also have many medical plants, the whole jungle is covered by green fragmented trees and many herbal plants.

Kareem's Forest Park

The only man-made forest in the Kerala Kareem Forest park is spread over 32 acres of land. The park is situated at Puliyamkulam, near Parappa which is 23 km away east of kanhangad town. Kareem, a native of Kasaragod, is behind this great green venture. The forest park is located in Parappa near Nileshwar and is a remarkable example for forest conservation. Similar to any other natural forest Kareem’s forest park is rich with a variety of plants and shrubs. It also gives shelter to innumerable species of birds, small wild animals and medicinal plants. The forest is frequented by people from different walks of life, environmentalists, scientists, university and Ayurveda students, and laymen for practical experience and study purpose.

Chandragiri Fort

Chandragiri fort, built by the Sivappa Nayaka of Bednore in the 17th century is made of hard laterite stones. In order to establish the authority over that area, Sivappa Nayaka built a chain of forts.  The fort located on the bank of the Chandragiri river marked the traditional boundary between Kerala and Thuluva Kingdom. The two sides of the fort face the Arabian Sea. There are eight round bastians with cannon (peeranky) holes from which the sea route can be seen clearly. The main bastian is facing the North. There is a deep trench on the three sides of the fort.

Ideal option for seclusion seekers and honeymooning couples, Kappil beach in Kasargod offers peaceful memorable experiences.It is famous for its seclusion and rightly so. Large spaces of pristine sand and a divine water body in front with no other disturbance whatsoever is something people seek in growing numbers these days. Situated along the shoreline, the Kappil beach is situated around 15 km southward of the Kasaragod railway station. It is also 6 kilometers away from Bekal Fort and is thus even visited by tourists moving around the Kerala backwaters. It is connected to the Varkala beach on the northside through a narrow pathway. Being within walking distance, this coconut sand pathway along the shore is quite frequently visited as tourists wander along the beach enjoying the panoramic view of the Arabian Sea.

Bekal Fort

Around 16 km to the south of northernmost district in Kerala, Kasaragod, lies the massive Bekal Fort. It is among the biggest forts in Kerala and has been impeccably maintained throughout the years. It rises to 130 feet above sea level and is situated on a headland spanning 35km. Much effort has been put to develop a beautiful beach here called the Bekal Fort Beach. People flock to these spots in great numbers. Situated comfortably on steep hills by the sea, the fort provides for an imposing view from the beach. Built using laterite slabs and with a polygonal shape, it is amongst the most visited sites in Kerala

Hanging Bridge Cheroor

Separated from the mainland by backwaters, Valiyaparamba fishing village is an island with the Arabian Sea as one of the borders. Located about 30 km from Bekal, Valiyaparamba backwaters is one of the most picturesque backwater boroughs in Kerala. The island located in River Tejeswini, is known for its natural beauty.

Kottancheri Hills

The beautiful rainforest of the Kottancheri Hills is a part of the Western Ghats in Kasaragod district. The forest landscape extends to the Ranipuram wildlife sanctuary. The picnic centre at here is the major draw among the travelers. Nature lovers, adventure enthusiast and anyone seeking to get away from the crowds of cities are The picnic centre at Kottancheri Hills makes it a favorite among the travellers. The hills are also ideal for trekking and are credited as trekker’s paradise. The nearness of the Talakaveri in the Brahmagiri mountain range of Kodaku adds to the charm of this place.

Ranipuram Peak

Ranipuram peak, located 750 meters above sea level on the Western Ghat mountains situates in Kasaragod district of Kerala State in Southern India. It is one of the popular trekking destinations in the district. The hill is covered in evergreen stunted tropical montane forest, tropical forest, and grasslands. It takes around two hours to climb up to the top of the peak, first through the forest and then through the grasslands without shade.

Ananthapura Lake Temple

​Sree Anantha Padmanabha is depicted as seated on the divine serpent Anantha. An exceptional collection of wood carvings that show scenes from Dashavatharam (the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu) can be seen on the ceilings of the mandapam (pavilion) here. Carvings of the Nava grahams (nine planets) and Dwarapalakar (gatekeepers) can also be found in different parts of this temple.

Malik Deenar Juma Masjid

​A group of Arabs came to India for propagatory mission and build mosques all along the country. They were Sharaf Ibn Malik, his brother Malik Ibn Deenar, his nephew Malik Ibn Habeeb. They reached a place named 'Kanjarkooth' (Kasaragod) on Monday 13th Rajab from 22 Hijra. They built a Mosque there. Malik Ibn Ahmed was appointed as Qali. On 1223 Hijra, the dilapidated Mosque was reconstructed, with the financial assistance of native man. This script is an authoritative document that points out towards great historic facts related to the Mosque. Gopalan Nair, a then Deputy collector sheds light to this script After the completion of mosque, construction in Ezhimale, Malik Ibn Habeeb and companions reached in Hijra 22 Rabeeul Avval 10 on Thursday to Barkur, located in South Canara and later they arrived at Manjaore (Mangalore) in Hijra 22 Jumadul Ula 27 on Friday. Then after they came to Kasaragod and constructed the Mosque in Hijra 22 Rajab 18th.

Sea View Park

​Its just a hangout place located near Kasaragod railway station. Just few meters away from second platform. You can enjoy sunset from here, one side of the park is surrounded by Mangrove trees and water body. You can watch a lot of birds from here, eventhough it's named as Sea view park you can't properly see Sea from here.

Malla Temple

Malla Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple is located in Muliyar Village,  Kasaragod district, Kerala State, India. This temple has 400 years of history. Mall temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga.  An annual festival held here in the month of February or March. Malla Temple is also known for providing daily Annadanam to all devotees (Afternoon and Night). Special poojas performed every Tuesday & Friday. It's a very iconic Temple. There are many hundreds of pilgrims who visit this place everyday, mostly from the state of Karnataka. The place is privately owned. There is free offering of lunch to every devotee. There is plenty of parking place.

To be frank best place to relax and have some fun. The atmosphere is quite amazing The best part about the park us you can have beautiful different scenery of landscape day by day..
